Planning an event to make gingerbread houses in December. Any recommendations? Also, I need to incorporate a STEM activity the same day. Would love all ideas.

Dd's class did this last year and it was really cute. They each had to bring a can of icing and one other item (hershey bars, fruit loops, m&ms, etc). They had a paper plate, sugar cone, small milk carton, and a baggie with the Graham crackers. They used their icing to cover the carton with Graham crackers and stick down a tree on the plate. Then they filled a bowl with decorations and added whatever they wanted. When they were done they wrapped it in cellophane to carry home.

Yes same with the small milk cartons. We hot glued 2 side by side for each child so it was a bigger space for them to put the candy. Caution: don’t start to collect the milk cartons too early, they still stink after you wash them out! Ugh!
