Kitchen ccontractors - Those that redid kitchen
Did you buy your cabinets and hire a contractor or did you use a contractor where it is a one stop place, they provide the cabinets and install all in one price? I keep going back and forth. One contractor we were interested in uses really cheap cabinets, all four brands. We found cabinets we may want to use that our friend used, but not sure if it is harder to buy yourself and hire someone on your own. We are basically not changing the layout of kitchen. Just adding a pantry and replacing all cabinets.

DH is a contractor and he also sells kitchen cabinets. He brings his samples when he goes on estimates. That doesn't mean you have to get his. He has used his cabinets for kitchens/bathrooms and he has also worked with other cabinets just as many or if not more times. Depends on what you like and the price is right.

We bought cabinets and hired a contractor to Install and prep kitchen to install (new Sheetrock walls and ceiling leveled out for crown molding)
It’s a little harder this way but I wanted to have a choice of any cabinet I want.

Re: Kitchen ccontractors - Those that redid kitchen
Our contractor could have gotten them for us but the choices were limited and I didn't feel like I was able to really design what I wanted. So we bought from a third party and our contractor installed them and it was all fine. However, the only glitch was that the contractor had no control over the timeline and our cabinets were over a month late in being delivered (which is the case a lot of the time) so they kind of had to stop work and disappeared and then by the time the cabinets came in, they weren't as invested in quickly getting the project done because by then they had other jobs to work on.
