Question about Sleep/Nap patterns

I dont believe in making up sleep. You either get it or you dont. On the other hand, i dont think letter her take a longer nap on the weekend will do any damage. For me it would just be tough to give a 2 hour nap and expect my child to sleep through the night at 4 yrs old. By then he had dropped his nap entirely.

Question about Sleep/Nap patterns

I don't think it will matter.

My 4 year old takes a 1.5 hour nap at daycare M-F, but takes no nap over the weekend. I personally prefer no nap as bedtime is much easier.

Question about Sleep/Nap patterns

If she naps pretty easily and still goes to bed at her normal time I would absolutely let her do the long nap. When she's ready she'll fight the nap or bedtime.

You can't "make up" sleep.

If she's tired, let her nap. If she's not tired, don't make her nap. At 4 years old I don't think it matters at all.
