Where are all the natural product/organic ladies at? Come on in!

I am probably tardy to the party, per usual, but I was just made aware of the real effects toxins are having on my body. I believe they are effecting my estrogen levels. See, to me, "toxins" were this somewhat abstractly dangerous stuff in our products that wouldn't necessarily kill us but I was completely unaware of the other effects. I am looking to do a detox of my beauty and skin care products.

What type of deodorant do you like and that actually works? What about color safe shampoo/conditioner? Make up? Body wash? Other things to avoid and/or change?

Thanks!

I actually use Deodorant that does not have Aluminum. Its not organic, but sometimes I'll use Arm & Hammer, and to be honest, sometimes, I buy a mans one; I think its Axe. No aluminum. No one can tell. Chat Icon I have tried many organic deodorants; but none really do the trick.

For nail polish, I bought Ella Mila.
For lipsticks and bronzer which I love, I have bought Tarte. Used to love Physicians Formula and I love this even more.

I have bought glass containers instead of plastic tupperware.

I use Arm & Hammer Laundry Detergent.
Although I dont know if that is any better than the others.

I also have Mrs. Meyers all-purpose cleaning spray.

Im slowly transforming......didn't get to shampoo/conditioner yet or soap. I use the Dove bar (for now).

But there is no way I am getting rid of my Clorox wipes....

love a thread like this. i could use more tips on detoxing.

i love clorox wipes too, but they wreak havoc on my skin & i'll use it sparingly.

i use the detergent without perfumes, but i can do better here (castille soap maybe?).

i'll go days without deodorant, but i work from home & shower daily, so it's not a big deal. otherwise i use Native coconut scent. works best for me.

i use nail polish once or twice a year, and remove it after a week or so.

i don't wear makeup daily, but when i do, i use it sparingly. i use organic oils as moisturizer & hair conditioner.

i use vinegar & dish soap to clean my house daily. same on floors

i use handmade soaps, and shampoos without that laurel sulfate (i know i spelled that wrong)

i use these green pans or steel for cooking

wild caught instead of farmed fish.

organic as much as my wallet permits.

i'll occasionally do contrast showering & tongue scraping.

and i switched back to pads & thinx undies.

i love these threads too.

i recently found a pin on Pinterest on making your own laundry detergent. looks easy!

i use Tom's deodorant. sometimes I have to reapply it.

i also don't use plastic food containers. glass pyrex.

i don't use non stick cookware. stainless. and bakeware i bought stone.

etsy has some great stuff as far as soaps, shampoo, stone and ceramic cookware.

i've stopped wearing makeup. vanity is not one of my vices Chat Icon

I've been using Arbonne makeup and skincare for about 2 years now. It's amazing how much it has changed my skin. It's very scary how many chemicals are in our skincare and nothing is regulated here in the US
Arbonne bans over 2000 chemicals from their skincare. everyone should be aware of what they are putting on their body. Keep in mind your skin absorbs what you out on it in 26 seconds!!

if you are interested in any of the products, lmk I loved the products so much and fell everyone should know whats in their skin care i decided to become a consultant.

For Deodorant - I swear by Native and give samples to all my clients (I'm a personal trainer/fitness instructor). It's the only natural one Ive tried that actually works.

For most other products, I go to the section with natural products and by what's on sale.

I shop the Trader Joe's health and beauty aid section. They have a decent selection of natural body products and they are very reasonable but effective.
