Speaking of buying/ selling...
How is the housing market? Our realtor said we shouldn’t have a problem selling. The house we are planning to buy we are working with the sellers. They live next door to our best friend and aren’t in a rush they are looking for something to move into so we are all taking the process as it comes. We are planning to list in the next few weeks and the people we will be buying from are starting to look. Is the housing market as competitive as it was a year ago? I feel like it’s slowed down and I’m nervous we won’t find a buyer for our house

Speaking of buying/ selling...
I think it depends where you are and the overall prices. But I know my friends for example are looking in South Eastern Nassau and they've lost about 5 houses already in bidding wars. Inventory is pretty low too. I just sold and bought and inventory by me is NIL - especially for what I was looking for.

Houses in my neighborhood are selling at or above list price. My house was just appraised for a lot more than I anticipated and I’m happy to report I have a lot of equity. It seems to be a sellers market.

Speaking of buying/ selling...
2 of my very close friends both sold and bought within the last 6 months. They both got over ask. One moved OOS due to a job transfer and the other paid an absurd amount of money for her new house. Its definitely a sellers market. Were all in Suffolk.

I suppose where you live makes a difference but I am in southeast Nassau and it’s a very hot market. I have three friends trying to get into the area and houses are sold before they are even listed more than a day, above asking. Still a sellers market here. Good Luck!

MY friend was told by her realtor not to list until she is ready to go, because the houses are selling very fast.

It is a sellers market for sure. I am out in Stony Brook, houses are selling crazy fast around here. Some are under contract in under a week!!!
