Its cute we did it 2 years ago. Its a trolley. I don't know I'd do it again but my kids really liked it.

Its cute we did it 2 years ago. Its a trolley. I don't know I'd do it again but my kids really liked it.
Is this good for a 5 and 8 year old?

yes, it was a trolley, JMO not worth it for the $$. My kids were disappointed, but that is because we went to the essex one, so it is like comparing apples to oranges. I think the little kids might like it.

I've heard the one in essex is best, but our 2 year old sucks on long car rides lol. Also, the others don't have you get off the train like the one in riverhead does, and I thought that would be cute for DD to be able to do. She is also OBSESSED with daniel tiger, so she would enjoy going on a trolley

you can take the ferry over. When we went years ago, we stayed the night at the Hilton Inn Express. It was right across the street from Mystic Aquarium.
The hotel was literally $117 for the night.
