Thermos for hot lunches
Does anyone have a thermos that really keeps mac and cheese or other hot items really hot for school lunch? My daughter used the Pottery Barn one last year and it sucked.

Re: Thermos for hot lunches
I bought a couple from Walmart last year, I think they are their brand...Ozark or something. They work awesome, and our bigger and keep the food hotter my daughter says than our "Thermos Funtainer" ones

Thermos for hot lunches
We use the funtainer ones. It keeps it warm. I fill it with boiling water and let it sit to warm the inside, the. Dump it out and wipe it down before putting the food in.

I use the funtainer too and just put hot tap water in it for a few minutes before adding the food. Dd doesn't like her food too hot so it's definitely plenty warm for her.

Foogo by thermos supposedly works slightly better than funtainer by thermos.

We have both Contigo and Thermos brands. They both seem to work well.

I bought the thermos brand but not the funtainer it supposedly keeps food hot for up to 9 hours. My DS has not complained yet but he only used it for camp so far. Test will come this week. He doesn't eat lunch till 1:20

exactly this. I started using really hot tap water too and it works.
You have to be careful though on tightening it, it seems to be tighter later in the day as it cools down, my son had issues opening it sometimes, so I only close it lightly now.
