Where would you start?
So I am a tax accountant but I really love bookkeeping work. I truly enjoy reconciling, categorizing and tracking income and expenses. It honestly relaxes me to reconcile and make order out of mayhem with numbers.
I was thinking about starting a side bookkeeping business but I don’t know how to go about getting clients.
Do I advertise on Facebook? I work for a large public accounting company now. I don’t think there would be a conflict of interest because I want to obtain my own clients and I do tax work here..which is different than bookkeeping work.
Thanks for any advice!

Where would you start?
Definitely look into advertising on Facebook or in groups - word of mouth really helps. Also look into search engines like Thumbtack or even Craigslist.

Thumbtack.. haven’t heard of that ..will check it out!

Where would you start?
I would put it out there in the facebook groups... I have a friend who did this and started small with 2-3 clients and it got huge through word of mouth
