Hershey Park - Help

I am hoping to fit in going for 2 days (1 night) before school starts. We have been going every summer for the last few years and have stayed at Country Inn and Suites. It's fine for location, price and a decent breakfast. Especially for one night anyway.

Any suggestions for a hotel near the park? Want to try another place maybe a little nicer.

Any place for good discounted tickets?

We usually go the one night and it's enough with Hershey World the first day then we do the preview night for a couple of hours and have the whole next day and then leave after an early dinner. It's a 2 hour drive from us.

Thanks! Any advise or reviews!

Courtyard by Marriott Chocolate Ave was nice.
Brand new, modern, clean.
Nice cafe in lobby that serves hot breakfasts that were very very good.
And close to the Hershey Pantry which is a cute little place for breakfast.

Close to the park

We stay at the Hershey Hotel when we go and we love it!. It has a beautiful rose garden and a children's museum on the property which my daughter enjoyed.

I wanted to stay there too, but the rates were astronomical in the summer- and I stay at expensive hotels everywhere we go. But that was like off the charts.

Yes! We're the same way. Love nice hotels, but for one night in Hershey where I know we are hardly going to be in the room wasn't worth it. Just need a nice, clean room with clean bathrooms. LOL

I kinda disagree that it isn't worth it for one night. We just recently stayed one night and it was so worth it to stay at the Hershey hotel. First off - the bus that drops you off right in front and picks you up (no parking fee), then we were able to get into the "preview" an hour earlier for free then everyone else.. AND what really did it for me - you get to get in the park an hour before it opens! I kid you not - we did 5 or 6 major rides in that time that we would have never got to do - or at least waited an hour for each of them. I totally think if you are just going for one night those "extras" are very worth the price to stay at the hotel. We literally wouldn't have had the time to do all that we did with out it

We’re going in a few days and staying at Holiday Inn express. It’s a few minutes from the park. The AAA office by my job has discounted tickets if you’re a member. Have to go there and pick some up.

We always stay at the Spring Hill Suites. It’s very close to the park and has free breakfast.

See we went mid July and it was pretty packed but we never waited long for any ride. Maybe 20 minutes TOPS. There was one ride, an indoor coaster that they waited a bit longer for- I don't go on rides so I waited outside.
Other than that, it was not bad the waits.
My DD and her cousins are young, so they didn't go on any of the huge coasters or thrill rides and I don't do rides at all, so getting there around 10 am was fine for us. We stayed till around 4 each day and that was more than enough
It's too much walking and too hot to be there much longer each day for me.
