Riddle me this... (Target shipping related)

So DD needs a very specific type of tab dividers for school this year.
I usually just get the target brand or whatever but this year's supply list called specifically for Avery big tab 8 dividers, whatever.
Nobody seems to have them. Target didn't even carry them I thought.
Amazon had them but you had to buy like a 10 pack.

So I see that Target had them online. So it says out of stock in stores but you can ship to the store.
I try to ship to the store it says- you can't ship to the store.

So then I try to have it shipped to me at home. It says - this item needs to be shipped with $25 worth of other merchandise (kind of like Amazon add on items I guess) but you can ship to store instead.


So we're going round in circles.

Anyway, turns out I found a cute dress for DD and had almost $25 at this point so I add a hair product i can always use and bam we are over $25 and we can ship the $2 dividers.
Yay!


This was yesterday.

Just now, a HUGE cardboard box arrives from UPS. I have no idea what it is, because between DH and I we keep the UPS man in business with our online shopping.

I open it and find the dividers. Alone. In this huge box.

No sign of the other 2 items i had to order to bring it up to $25. They will be shipped separately
So I got the $2 dividers ( in less than 24 hours no less!!) that I had to ship with $25 worth of other items in a box that was probably worth more than the dividers and now they have to pay to ship the other 2 items separately.

How on earth does this even make any sense??????

I always wonder with them if they ship from local stores when they're able to or maybe have a local warehouse? Sometimes things come in 24hrs and other stuff takes close to a week. Do you have a red card? Usually once you go to checkout and your card is signed in all the shipping charges switch to free no matter how small the order.

Target shipping annoys the sh!t out of me. Firstly, almost everything I click on will show as unavailable to ship and not have an option to ship to store. Why is it even on the site? My store is selected. Filter out items that I cannot possibly buy. Then when something actually is available to ship, it’s 15 different boxes. I once ordered 6 placemats. They all came in separate packages. They were $4 each.

Yes, they drive me crazy as well. I ordered something last week for out trip. It said one item will come on Wed., the rest Thursday - right in time. Well I got an update everything was delayed a day. I rush out an order a second bathing suit from ON to make sure my niece has it for out trip and a water shirt for my son.

Well after I do that, Target then says my order will come on time. Ok great wasted 20 bucks on ON shipping - oh well. Anyway one item - a pair of flip flops comes on Wednesday the other two come on Thursday. The kicker is when viewing the tracking all three items arrived at UPS center Tuesday a half hour apart. So they were there the same time and still came a day apart.

Also my flip flops were sent to USPS and they left them on top of the mailbox and the wind knocked them over. My DH happened to see them underneath a car soaking wet when pulling into the driveway.

I guess they came from different distro center but it was crazy.

this BS keeps me employed!!!

as a customer, this drives me bat sh!t crazy. as an employee of a company that delivers these darn boxes and has contracts with all the companies you're complaining about, i LOVE IT lol
