Rocking Horse Ranch ***ADDED UPDATE**

We’re going this weekend for a couple of days. Since it’s knly 2 days we plan on getting there early and staying late Sunday night.
Any must does to go and do?
What’s the dress for dinner?

My boys are 9 and 7 if that helps.
Figuring sweatshirts for night. Does it get cooler?

Thanks!

We usually go in the winter but everything is casual. So much to do!!! Enjoy

If you do drink bring your own booze.

No one dresses up for dinner there. Jeans/cowboy hats. They have cute butt flap pajamas that a lot of the kids buy and wear at night to the shows.

Shorts work! LOL...we only go in the winter though! I'm not sure about cold at night, but I doubt it! It's not very far north! But, I would bring a sweatshirt just in case, because you never know!

I don't think anywhere is getting cold at night with this heat we are having to be honest.

Re: Rocking Horse Ranch

***UPDATE AND REVIEW***
So we got back from RHR last night and had a blast!!!

First off I thought the 2 full days was perfect. If we had an extra day that would've been fine too, but did a lot.

We left super early and got there before 10AM in time for breakfast. It was raining on and off, but still a lot to do.
Did boating, kayak, paddle, the tubing down the mountain was AWESOME, boys did rock climbing and jumping, the indoor water park was great and the boys went on the slide about 100 times... LOL (so did we Chat Icon ), banana boat was so much fun too.
At night we watched a fun magic show and passed out late.
The second day we did a lot more of the same and horse back riding. Also, archery too and time on the playground.
Weather was much better. We are all beginners and not a huge fan of horse back riding anyway. My 9 year old got a feisty horse so felt bad, but he still had fun.
Wound up leaving at around 5:30PM.
Definitely got a lot done in the 2 full days.
Oh, my DH did get to do water skiing along with my BIL.
It is a lot of money, but was fun.
The good was all the activities and customer service is outstanding.
We also brought our own wines and they had NO Problem with us bringing it to dinner.
Not too much bad. The rooms (for what you pay) could use an upgrade. Bathrooms are ok and rooms were loud with AC and bathroom fan.
Oh, and only other bad is the smell of horse pooh on the shoes. LOL! They keep the place clean, but I have been scrubbing the shoes bc that's all I can smell.
Food was ok too, but edible.
I also wish they gave my son a calmer horse. My 7 year old's horse was much better.
I didn't feel the place was over packed at all. No wait times too long and they keep you entertained with lots of activities.
