also old & un-hip, but i checked urban dictionary & BARS can be slang for Xanax pills or rap lyrics, so it depends on the context.
Would either of those fit?
And looking at the hashtag Bars, on twtitter/instagram, it usual refers to actual drinking establishments.

i found it.
in the context i read, it has nothing to do with any you listed... slang is so strange.
seems that it's a synonym for "burned."
someone insults you and your buddies say "bars!!"
i don't get the connection.
a very california way of saying the same thing is "moted." but that comes from shortening "demoted," because the insult demoted your standing.
... this is one i don't get the connection.
at least, i found the answer.
we've all been educated lol

That makes no sense.. but I guess that is the same as me using Stupid when I was younger to refer to something as alot.
I hate these acronyms.. a VP messages me LGTM and I had no clue what he meant. I thought LGTB typo lol. But it was Looks Good To Me.

Intersting. Yes slang is weird. I wonder if the origin of "bars" meaning "burn" may actually comes from bars meaning rap lyrics ( which itself comes from actual music terminology & makes sense to me.)
Like "He got bars" means he is highly skilled at rapping.
Rap is sometiems doen as a battle ,( who can out-rap whom), which includes insults, so if someone insults you via rap lyrics, maybe that is shortened to bars, which has then crossed over to non-rap insults.
