Mattress for a four year old
Hey guys
I want to get my four-year-old a twin mattress but I'm not sure what to look for. I know I want it to be extra firm but I don't know how thick it should be or if there's a particular brand I should look for.
Any advice or recommendations? Thank you so much

Try Costco. Great prices!

Re: Mattress for a four year old
4yos can sleep on a bed of loose LEGOs... We didn't worry about super comfort at that point. In 8 to 10 years, when it's time to replace the mattress, then I would look more into comfort, and what DC prefers. At this age, I would look more at price than anything.

Re: Mattress for a four year old
Hahaha probably true
But my poor four year old is still in a toddler bed (pls don't judge me) and he tells me he hates his bed. Besides it's obviously time for a real bed
I just didn't know from cool, foam memory etc
I want a regular coil firm mattress. Just wanted, I guess, to hear that that's fine for a kid lol

Of course it is. I personally hate memory foam beds and will never sleep on one. DD has a regular, cheapy, coil mattress So do we actually, but ours is a lot more expensive because we are old. LOL

Re: Mattress for a four year old
When we bought mattresses a few years ago for us and and our older son, we got him a full sized mattress that's extra firm because I insisted on it, and we got ourselves a queen sized plush thing with the pillowy top, because my husband insisted on it. I begged for a firm mattress and he refused
So now hubbys crying every morning saying he wishes we got a firm bed.
Sigh.

We got my older DDs twin mattress from IKEA and it's really comfortable. I don't mind snuggling up with her. LOL

Ikea mattresses aren't bad at all, I agree!

Re: Mattress for a four year old
Definitely get the most economical but I would go with Firm. Its good for their backs.
My sons mattress we got at bobs and he is actually still using it (he went from crib to twin bed).
