It's quick and easy... as long as you're not scared of heights like me. 
In all seriousness, I did it with several kids. the youngest was 4 and he did it, up and down, without an issue.

There is a minimum height requirement of 42 inches. My 4 year old is 41 inches and was upset he couldn't do it lol.

I'm not even scared of heights and I couldn't bring myself to do it. LOL. Felt very claustrophobic.
