Once again...a question about what time party is best
So this is for the bigger kids..this is a 7 year old birthday party. My son has decided he wants to have a pool party at my mother's house which is about 25 minutes east from our town. I know...so annoying.. BUT I have driven to other counties for birthday parties so I figure its okay.
Would you rather...
Drive your kid out further east on a Friday evening for a bday pool party, say like 5-8 or something like that
OR
Do Sunday at some point. And if you pick Sunday, what time frame would you like best?
I can't do Saturday because there is a soccer tournament a lot of the boys are involved with.

Once again...a question about what time party is best
Driving Friday out east on a Friday tends to be a nightmare. So I would pick Sunday around 12 or so

Sunday.
Fridays are rough heading east.
I would say around noon time or 1 pm

I'd prefer Sunday, probably later afternoon.

Fridays are rough AND a no go for working parents. I'm lucky if I get home by 6 on a Friday and DH doesn't get home until 7/7:30 on Fridays.

I would do early on Sunday. If it is during the summer, you run the risk of hitting traffic from people heading home from out East anytime after noon on Sundays.

Ha! You know what? I'm a FTWM too but I'm on vacation that week so I wasn't thinking about it. Meanwhile...when I am working and I get that invitation I get super pissy about it. LOL

I definitely agree with Sunday, and as long as the end time doesn’t correspond with the Hamptons traffic heading back home. As long as it’s done well before 4 or 5pm, I think you’re ok!
