Camera for vacation
Im looking for a cheap point and shoot camera. Can anyone recommend the one they have. We are going on vacation and I don't want to use my cellphone camera for all the pictures. I have an old phone and the battery life does not last long. I did buy one of those portable chargers but even that needs to be charged. What can I bring? Thanks!

Re: Camera for vacation
I did some research on this during the holidays.
The big problem with point and shoot cameras is that their resolution is now worse than an average cell phone camera (of recent make). I ended up getting the indestruble Nikon Coolpix w100 (it’s shock proof and water proof) for my kid. It works great, wasn’t too $$$, but resolution isn’t great. The pictures don’t compare to the cell phone.
We do have a “real” camera which is unbeatable.

My “real” camera is the EOS rebel. It’s my second. Great camera, awesome pics and capabilities.

I have a Sony RX 100 or something like that. It's awesome. Small and the quality is great. A little pricey...I think $400, but I prefer it over my bulky DSLR.

We have a canon powershot 720. It takes decent pictures, nowhere near an slr but for the purpose of it I’m happy.
