Adventureland bday party?
Anyone here have a bday party or go to a bday party at Adventureland ? I am thinking of doing my son’s bday here next month. I see that the package includes an hour of rides and an hour of food. To me it seems like an hour of rides may be short especially if you’re waiting in lines for a lot of it. I could also increase the ride time to 2 hours, I think more hours than that would be a little much for a bday party.. Wanted to get some feedback. Thanks!

Adventureland bday party?
My daughter went to two parties there. For one, they had the pizza and cake first and then everyone went in small groups on the rides. For the other, we met inside and then followed the hostess. She took the group on the rides. I think she was able to cut the line, but I'm not sure. Then we went back to the party room for pizza and cake.
I liked the one with the hostess better because everyone was together. For the other one, some kids didn't really interact with the birthday girl.

Re: Adventureland bday party?
We attended a Birthday first thing in the AM right after they opened on a summer (August) weekend. The park is as empty and one hour was plenty (there was no wait to get in the kiddie rides). The kids did go essentially on their own but that was ok.

Re: Adventureland bday party?
We went to one last summer. We started out on the rides for and hour and then met for Pizza. I feel like the pizza and cake took an hour, there were lots of parties going on. I did wish we were able to spend more time on the rides. I have 3 kids and by the time they all went on some rides it felt like we had missed some of the park.

We went to one and hated it. The kids did not go one rides In Groups most of the time. So everyone was scattered and they make an announcement when you are to report back for pizza and cake.

We haven't been to a party there, but when it's not crowded, my kids can probably get on all the rides they're tall enough for in the kiddies section in an hour

Adventureland bday party?
We did it two years in a row for DS. It was great. We opted for two hours in the park (we paid extra for the extra hour) and did pizza and cake at the end. The kids didn’t wait too long for anything (both times we did the party in July), and the kids had a blast.

Re: Adventureland bday party?
I went to 2 this year and on last year. The two this year were at 4:00 besides it being hot it was so crowded. The one party did 2 hours of riding and the other one did 1 hour. You def at that time need 2 hours so I suggest doing 2 hours. We went to one last year at around 11ish and it wasn't as crowded also just one hour but I think its only what $3 extra a person for the hour if so I would 100% opt to do that.
As others stated the party def doesn't stick together at all. Everyone just went their own ways and went on rides by my DS did love it either way.
I did see when I was there a whole party get to basically cut the line and go on the ride. So I asked about it and apparently you can pay money to be able to have the party stick together and skip but the person I asked had no idea how much it was but she assumed a lot of money. IMO I feel like that should just be part of the party package the kids get to stick together and actually get on a lot of rides instead of wasting the limited time waiting on line

Re: Adventureland bday party?
I have had two birthday parties there. The trick is to do it first thing when they open..I think it is noon, and get food and cake out of the way. Then do the rides. You end up getting to stay for way more than an hour. The only downside of it is that the party may not stay together. Actually, the reason I had it there to begin with was because I had kids of all ages and figured it would cover all of my bases. I did but we didn't see the older kids for the rest of the day until they came to say goodbye. Most of them went on a couple of rides with my son but then they took off to do the big kid rides. I didn't care because the purpose of it was for everyone to have fun, so as long as they did, I was fine with it.

Re: Adventureland bday party?
It's my least favorite party. It just doesn't make sense to have a party for my child where she's not going to be spending time with the children she invited. I just prefer parties where the children interact with each other.
But every party we've gone to has been 2 hours for rides. It feels like forever to me, but the kids needed to the time to ride what they wanted to, especially outside the kiddie area.
