paint question - silver
can i realistically expect something that's papier mache to have a glossy finish if i buy a gloss paint? or is the fact that it's porous negate the type of paint i use?
i want to paint something silver and have it reflect SOME light.
or should i cover the surface with glitter?

This doesnt work well. Can you wrap it in silver metallic wrapping paper and then put whatever you need to on top of that?

yeah, i thought so.
i'll have to experiment. maybe paint it with flat paint and then put on a high gloss sealant over it.

You probably need to apply gesso first, to make it less porous.
Then probably a silver metallic paint-probabaly spray paint- (and/or silver leaf, but that could be tedious), and maybe a clear gloss over it.
Or you could apply glitter - if you want it sparkly, not just shiny.
