I HATE my friend’s DH!!
This is more of a vent then needing advice because there is nothing I can do but just be there for my friend.
My dd and her dd are best friends and we have become very close. Her dh is a narsasistic ahole. Just being around him makes my skin crawl.
He’s never around when the kids are together but every once in awhile he is there. We took the kids to a carnival tonight and he was there trying to show what a “perfect” dad and dh he was. Meanwhile 10 minutes before they got there he’s telling my friend she’s a fat ass and telling her how horrible a mother she is in the car and she better not think he’s paying for anything for her.
She’s getting her ducks in a row right now but I just hate him. My dh was cordial but wanted to throat punch him the entire time.
He’s so smooth and so good at making people think he’s this great guy meanwhile I know what a piece of shit he is.
Hate him, hate him, hate him. Ugh.

That's horrible. I am glad she is taking the steps to leave him. If he acts that way in public it must be even worse in private.
It is going to be a difficult (emotionally and mentally) road but keep being a supportive, encouraging and positive friend. Maybe she should look into attending a support group.

I know. We smiled and were all fake nice. Don’t need him trying to keep dd or me away from them. He has money so she’s trying to tread lightly while she gets things squared away before she serves him.
The whole situation is so toxic.

She has recorded him on her cell phone several times. The cops were called once but they were useless as they said they couldn’t do anything unless they witnessed him doing something to her but a police report was filed.
