I have a second freezer, not a fridge, but, yes, I forget what’s inside sometimes. I try to label things to help me out. I usually just go and have a look once a week to help me meal plan if I decide not to order Hello Fresh.

There are a lot of chicken bones, though . I make my own stock, so I save up the bones. I know that sounds completely weird.

This seems super crazy, but I never knew what was in my second freezer so one day I emptied it, reorganized it and made a list of all the things I had in it. As I use stuff, I cross it out and as I add things, I put them on the list. It helps me with keeping track for sure. I should probably do that with my kitchen freezer too!

If I don't find it in the kitchen fridge, I know it must be in the garage fridge.

For the most part the second frig is the beer, wine, water frige except when there is a party and we need a place to put items.

We have a second fridge and a deep freezer.

We keep mostly beer, water and any extra items that I got on sale. Like an extra French vanill creamer or eggs. We use it mainly for parties and holidays.

The deep freezer .. that’s another story. I go through it once a month to be sure there’s no hidden meat i should be making soon.


ETA: if you have the Alexa app, you can make a separate list with the contents of that fridge and as you or anyone in the house use something or stock it - update the list on the phone/app.

I only use my garage fridge for like extra drinks or extra storage for parties I use a sharpie and dry erase board on the fridge to list when I put stuff in and what it is when it expires etc

We only keep beverages and maybe if we have big stuff from Costco. When I used to put other stuff in there, I'd forget and it would go to waste . (It's in my garage).
