Port Jefferson - Seafood/Outdoor Dining

This board gets more hot action, LOL.

So our plans got messed up and it looks like we won't be able to get lobster rolls this weekend when we head up north.

We will be in Port Jefferson arriving from the ferry on Sunday at 12:30 pm.

Can anyone recommend a good seafood place nearby? I'd really love something with outdoor dining, but I will survive if I have to eat inside.

Plan C would be for us to go to a good seafood place near home and then we can get anything for lunch - simple as we will have kids - any reccos for this?

Steam room has outdoor dining and the food is good! If you want more upscale Schafer’s upper deck or the 5th season. Those are your best bets!
I’ve taken my young toddlers to both Schafer’s and the steam room multiple times and they are fine and do well. I do get them a kids meal or fish when we go! Wouldn’t bring the kids to 5th season

I second The Steam Room--yummy, affordable, outdoors. LOVE the lobster bisque in a bread bowl. Then you must go around and downstairs to Roger's Frigate for delicious homemade ice cream and other sweet treats. PS There's a 20% coupon for both in the LI Funbook.

Danfords is right next door to the ferry. They added a ton of extra outdoor seating. You will see as the ferry pulls up.....lol

Maybe look at their online menu to see if they have the foods you are looking for.
