Spinoff to summer camp--teens
What do you do with your too old to go to camp too young to work/be a camp counselor for the summer? My DD is 13 and doing a one week and two week program but there's like seven solid weeks of summer where she's unoccupied and she doesn't play sports; she's more of an artsy kid. Last August she drove me crazy!

Re: Spinoff to summer camp--teens
mine went to Big Chief and she is going to be a CIT there this year. She won't get paid, but we won't have to pay for her either. She gets tips at the end. We will do it this year and next then she can get paid as a regular counselor

My 14 & 12 yr are going to YMCA Teen Camp - they are taking multiple trips (white water rafting, Lake george, splish splash, etc) to keep them occupied. You can do a 3 week session or 1 or 2 week flex session as well.
My 17 is working as a camp counselor
