Biting the bullet and taking the kids in tomorrow - they are 6 & 4- any suggestions on places to eat around the museum, and any tips to try and make the trip easier- we will be driving in.
Thanks!

Re: NYC Museum of Natural History

We went to Jacob's Pickles after for dinner last year. It was cute and fun. Drinks are good too. LOL Chat Icon
If you need one after a day with the kids.

They'll love the musuem. We did the planeterium there and some other stuff. There's a small cafeteria for a light lunch in the museum too.

I think it's a half mile or even less.

Good news. The museum should be empty tomorrow because the weather is supposed to be lovely. Sunday will be a nightmare because of the rain.
There is a parking garage at the Museum. The entrance is on 81st street between Columbus and Central Park West. It's a little pricey but very convenient. Just get there early.

Restaurants:
Patsy's Pizza (74th & Columbus)
Jacob's Pickles
Five Napkin Burger (84th & Broadway)
Shake Shack (right across from the Museum on 77th & Columbus)
Cilantro (really good mexican) on Columbus between 83rd & 84th

Have fun!

One other thing: Try to decide what you want to do before getting to the museum. There are lots of choices so it just makes it a little easier.
