Female question - TMI
Has anyone noticed a change (increase) in discharge as they got older? Nothing gross or discolored or anything that seems worrisome - just more. (Everything was 100% normal at my last gyn appointment last summer - I was told to come back in three years for next checkup). Thanks!
ETA - I am 37, no kids.
ETA again - i probably should call it CM rather than discharge. Discharge i think of gross/thick but this is just CM.

I haven’t experienced this BUT 3 years for a next check up seems like an awfully long time?
I go once a year for a papsmear
I have bad endo so I’m always at the gyno but I still think 3 years sounds like a really long time (I’m the same age as you and no kids)

I notice that I get a CRAZY amount of CM now when I'm ovulating.
To the point it soaks my panties through and feels gross for a day or so mid cycle.
But this really started after having my DD.
Before that I had no idea if or when I ovulated.
Now it's no mistaking it.
So not sure if it's age, or having a baby that caused it for me.

There are new guidelines now.
The USPSTF recommends screening for cervical cancer in women age 21 to 65 years with cytology (Pap smear) every 3 years or, for women ages 30 to 65 years who want to lengthen the screening interval, screening with a combination of cytology and HPV testing every 5 years

Yeah this is what I was told, no need to come back every year unless there’s an issue.

are you sure they told u to come back in 3 yrs. My dr said you need a PAP every 3 years if you have not tested abnormally. They will still do an annual exam but no pap on the off years.
the only time I notice an increase is during ovulation. I also take something called Vitex (chaste tree extract) to help with my cycle and this did increase my cervical mucous.

Yup, definitely 3 years. I was (pleasantly) surprised that apparently this is what many gyns do now. If i had an issue obviously sooner. But with no issues/history, every 3 years.
Funny, now that a couple people mention it, i think it's at ovulation that i'm noticing the increase in discharge. I never used to notice anything at ovulation so it didn't even cross my mind, but that may be it (and now i feel dumb for not thinking of that!).
