Intex Metal Frame Pools
Do you recommend this type of pool? Thinking of round 18 x 48 or bigger, or maybe a rectangular one. Most people have spent the money on a better filter. Also, did you go with a salt water system? Any advice or tips is appreciated!

My SIL has this pool - definitely get the 48" or higher. They've had it for 3 seasons, no salt water system, but they love it. My brother actually takes it down after the summer and then puts it back up. It's definitely held up nicely.

Re: Intex Metal Frame Pools
we had one before we got our inground pool. Yes, upgrade to a sand filter pump. No need to do salt water.

Re: Intex Metal Frame Pools
I have a Bestway round one (same as Intex). I think 12x36. Got it at TRU a few years ago.
Love it. I have someone put it up in the Spring and take it down in the Fall.
I use the filter it came with. Image Attachment(s):

Did you put a tarp under it?

Yes. I had to level the yard so there is sand under there.

I see there is also Intex Ultra frame, which is more costly but doesn't rust, so you can leave the pool up year round if you choose to?

Intex Metal Frame Pools
We've used a Intex metal frame pool for the past several years that is 16'x42", but it fills even lower. Definitely get the highest depth you can, it will still be a few inches lower. It is fairly quick and easy to put up and take down and we used the standard filter but you have to be religious with cleaning it to keep it clear. It is totally worth the money, just be sure you have a level ground to put it on
