"Get Your Feet Wet" Sleepaway camps

So I posted asking about Sleepaway camps for DS who will be going into 4th next year. He loves camping and being active and I think it'll be great for him. They have a get your feet wet program at a couple of camps where you can go away for a week and see how you like it. They do a mini-program where they do swim, sports, activities, lake and even a min-color war.
It's not a lot of money at all either.

So, deciding between Y camp Nah Jee Wah or Surprise Lake.
Anyone have any advise? My son will not know anyone. I'm more nervous for him and he's excited. LOL!
Any experience or kids possibly signing up? It's the end of Aug so perfect for DS.

Both my kids did the get your feet wet program at surprise lake. It was great for them!The staff were really good too.

I can’t stress enough how amazing that camp is.
My husband and I still go all the time since it’s winterized (we will stay in a lodge for a long weekend, his camp friends growing up are all best of friends so we get together often there, all his camp friends became my best group of friends)
The get your feet wet program there is awesome
The counselors WANT to be there and make sure the kids have fun oh and my friend is the chef so I know the food is yummy too ;)

Thank you. I will give Surprise Lake a call too. I only spoke with the Y. I think the program is great and my DS is so excited. I never would've thought I'd send him to sleepaway, but then again I loved it. I think he'd love it and the week is perfect to start.
