Anyone have experience with a company called "Melaleuca"?
It feels like Amway to me. A friend is selling it and asked me to join and buy stuff. Supposedly all natural home cleaning products, body care, vitamins etc.
I bought a box of stuff, haven't tried any of it yet. Wondering if there are any positive/negative experiences out there.
There's all kinds of incentives to keep buying every month. Lower pricing etc. if you maintain "preferred member" status.

I signed up under someone then panicked and cancelled. I could not spend XX amount each month, if I had a large family yes. I friend use to buy and sell it and she reminded me that shipping is based on wt and many products are heavy. PM is you want more infor

Anything I have to "join" for the privilege of spending my money to buy something is a big fat NOPE from me. Go to target

This. My neighbor does it and i felt obligated at the time to sign up because everyone else did. I cancelled the very next day! I had to pay for the first order and then the rest was cancelled, but I did really like the products. I can't imagine getting them monthly, though. For instance, one of the multipurpose cleaners (like lysol spray) comes with a bottle and a concentrate solution. There is enough concentrate to make like 5-6 bottles of the spray so it lasts months and months

thanks for all the feedback!
i paid a dollar to be a member so i guess i can handle that
I think i'll stock up for the next 2 months then cancel. my friend will get points or whatever for that.
I did call them to find out about the auto billing. they only do that if you dont place an order up to the last day of the month.
dh tried the laundry detergent today and said it was fine. very concentrated.

oh i did also ask them about animal testing. they want me to call back tomorrow to speak to someone in product info department. there's nothing indicated on the products themselves. and i guess they could just lie to me on the phone but i do want to know about it

Re: Anyone have experience with a company called "Melaleuca"?
I have been using it for about 10+ years.
I find that the air polution in my house is less. I feel that having less chemicals in my house and on my cloths has made a HUGE difference in my asthma.
I LOVE their products. But now that I am 10+ years in I dont use a lot of their products. So I "join" once a year, stock up on everything then quit the next month.
If I need to fill in on a supply here or there (toothpaste for example) I just buy it retail.
But $75 a month for 35 points worth of stuff is WAY too much. I just don't need all that.
But I LOVE their products.
