Rain date?

Is it tacky to make a rain date for a graduation party? My dd is graduating and we are having a party. Not huge, but maybe 30ish people. My house is small and if it rains, I'd rather not have everyone inside.

I am making the food so I could easily just make it the next day.

Re: Rain date?

I'm not a fan. I don't like having to tie up 2 days of my weekend just in case it rains.

Agreed. I'd look into getting a tent.

I would get a tent, because what if the people you have invited have another obligation on the rain date? Graduation season gets busy!

Re: Rain date?

I would not do a rain date. That’s asking people to commit to two days on a weekend. Get a tent or figure out a back-up plan.

Re: Rain date?

And what if it rains both days? That is known to happen often on Long Island, the capital of shit weather.

Agree 100%

Plus people are so rude and cannot even RSVP to one date. Do you really want to keep track or keep after people about 2 possible dates??? LOL
