Ha I saw one- saying that this new generation doesn't bother with them. Personally, I don't. Even in the summer I need a light blanket/comforter so another sheet is just an annoyance really.

Asking if the millennials killed off the top sheet.

They did a survey and 78% still use it.

I use a top sheet, keeps your comforter cleaner. If I didn't use a top sheet, I feel like I would have to wash my comforter once a week!

Yes this is true.
Except on my daughter's bed because she sleeps like a wild boar and ends up tangled up in the sheets and lying catty corner with her head in the bookshelf.
So I don't bother on her bed.

I dont use one or make my bed.
DH uses it sometimes in the summer because he says I take all the covers

True, not a newsworthy item.
FTR, I never slept with a top sheet, always used duvet covers that got washed weekly. My mom would sew her own from top sheets.
DH always used a top sheet, and I do now only now because of him. I still prefer just using a duvet and cover.
