Who puts yellow ribbons on trees?
My whole neighborhood has them and I know it wasn't the residents because they were placed while we were at work. Who puts them up? It was certainly a lot of work.

Fire Departments often do. We lost a solider from our town this week, and the fire department put flags all around his property

Commack has them up bc someone in the military just died in a helicopter accident in the mideast

Some of the neighbors and friends of the soldier’s family with the local fd put them up in Northport/East Northport/Elwood. His family is in commack but he grew up in elwood and attended John Glenn HS

I.saw on a Commack Mom's FB group someone was organizing it so that you could go pick up ribbons from her to put on trees in and around your specific neighborhood. So, I'm.pretty sure it was done by a whole lot of individuals.
