front and back invite or separate insert?
about ready to order invites.
i'm going with a 5x7 flat invite.
printing places are giving me the option on printing on the back of the card.
do people turn the cards over?
or should i pay a little more and have the inserts printed with the additional info of surprise time (i want to repeat it) and parking.
or print them myself.
eta: or print it on the back and buy a gold marker to put an arrow at the bottom lol

Re: front and back invite or separate insert?
I would never think to flip over an invite to see if there was something on the back.
Is there so much information that it will not all fit on the front ?

a short paragraph describing the parking at the venue. it fills up quickly and people will be directed to park in a parking structure at the end of the block

Separate insert. I wouldn't think to look on the back of the invite.

In your case, I think a separate insert would work best.
I did a front and back invitation for DS's communion and it worked out. I guess i'm in the minority though, because I always turn the invitation over and look at the back.

Separate...
Unless the card indicated for me to turn it over... I wouldn't.

Re: front and back invite or separate insert?
For parking instructions, I'd go with a separate insert
I always print on the back of my invites (If it's a free option) I'll put funny pictures or even just a pretty design that matches the front.
You can do front and back as the actual invite by putting a big picture on the front with some sort of headline - then people will obviously assume the info for the party is on the back

Re: front and back invite or separate insert?
The only thing I ever put on the back of an invitation is a picture. It's a fun surprise if someone looks, but nothing important to be missed.

Re: front and back invite or separate insert?
I'll be the odd man out - I look at the back of every invitation and card I get.
I used to design invitations (still do but not really as a business anymore) and I put something on the back of every invitation. It's just a quirk of mine because I find the white space boring.

Can you put a small notation on the front that says "Please see back for parking info."?

I would actually think it's better to put the info on the back in case the insert gets lost. A lot of people put pictures on the back of printed invites. So I always flip it over.
