Universal Orlando
We will be traveling to Orlando over spring break. Right now we have Disney booked for two days and Sea World for one day. We were thinking about doing Universal but my children are boy - age 10, girl age 7 and girl age 6. The 10 year old boy is not into rollercoasters or other scary rides and the girls are very petite - 41 and 45 inches. Has anyone been to Universal with children this age and was it worth it? We will be traveling with my mother also so the cost to go for one day is close to $800 and that's not including any meals or fast passes etc. That is the basic ticket cost to visit one of the parks. If they will have a GREAT time I will consider it but it just doesn't seem worth it. We did most of the Disney parks a year and a half ago so it's not like they need to do any of those. We are going back to Magic Kingdom and Epcot. Just wondering if it's worth it to try Universal or if we should just go back to another Disney park for a lot less $. Sorry so long - any thoughts?

Re: Universal Orlando
we went when my DD was 13 and she loved it. The ages you are talking about I would wait until they are a bit older. 13 was the perfect age - she went on everything. I think doing Disney and Sea World will be enough

Universal Orlando
We enjoy it there. They have a lot of "simulation" type rides with really cool graphics, etc. We love the Harry Potter area, and the Hogwart's train (which you need a park to park ticket for) Dr. Seuess area is cute! But $800 for the day? I would probably skip it. Especially over Spring Break when it's mobbed

Re: Universal Orlando
We LOVE Universal, even more than Disney but it's $$$ to go for one day. That's how they get you. My boys went when they were 2 and 5 and they didn't go on much since it's mostly bigger rides but we really enjoyed the Superhero area, Suess Landing and Harry Potter.
Unless you have mega fans of HP or any other character in the park I'd skip this trip and maybe plan another trip where you go for 3+ days. We usually do 4 days so the cost per day goes down.
Have a great trip!
