Asian long horned beetle??
I have gotten letters from NY state agriculture regarding this Asian long horn beetle. Because I didn’t respond giving them permission to come on my property they are seeking legal authority to enter my property for tree survey and inspection.
They want to come and if it is found we have this beetle they will remove the trees at no cost to me
I don’t have any trees in my backyard or front yard I have shrubs and landscaping but no large trees. And the ones I have are small and cost a small fortune.
Does anyone know if this is legit? Thanks

Yes it's legit. They have to inspect even if you have no trees. It takes them less than 60 seconds, you dont have to be there.

Yes it is. This beetle is very destructive and very invasive and has to be eradicated.
