Airbnb questions
We are contemplating staying in one while we visit Washington DC. These might be stupid questions but we have never stayed in one.
- do you bring your own sheets? towels? - how much cleaning are you supposed to do when you leave? Obviously, we are not going to trash the place but are you supposed to vacuum, clean bathrooms, strip sheets etc.

Airbnb questions
We didn't bring our own sheets or towels.
There were instructions as to what we were to do when we left. We stripped the beds and left all towels on the bathroom floor. A cleaning service was coming in after us so we didn't have to do a full clean.

Re: Airbnb questions
Different places have different requests. You need to read through them carefully. They also sometimes charge a cleaning fee. They usually don’t ask to change the sheets or anything.
I’ve used airbnb a few times and gotten some nice places. Another time I got a shower in the kitchen— I kid you not!
Bottom line— read the fine print, scrutinize the pics, and read the reviews.

Re: Airbnb questions
I've used Airbnb all over the world and US.
My advice: READ THE REVIEWS! I book with a superhost whenever possible.
No need to bring towels, sheets usually but read the house rules. I usually do light cleaning (take sheets off bed, make sure everything is how I got it) but don't go crazy bc there's a cleaning fee usually worked into the price of the rental.
