? for those who made their own baby food
DD is almost 11 months and so far, all her baby food has been made by us. Next month (she will be 1 year), we are going to Orlando. Silly question but what would you do for food? I won't be able to cook in the hotel since we just have a microwave and fridge. We can go to a supermarket in Orlando and buy baby food for her. Or should we just rely on being able to have her eat some of our food at restaurants?

? for those who made their own baby food
By 11 months my kids always ate what we ate. So I started out doing purée foods for them, then chunky purée then by 9/10 months they were eating what we ate, just cut up into small pieces. My kids at 1 had their meals, whatever we were having, 2 cups of milk a day 1 in the AM and one in the PM and for snacks they eat Cheerios or gold fish from a container of on the go or at home we have fruits cut up

By 9/10 months, my son pretty much only ate solids.

I would pack or pick up some pouches and snacks (cheerios, etc) for convenience and aside from that plan to feed her table foods. By 1yo you should be transitioning to table foods anyway.

Same. My Dd was eating full table food by 10ish months and I made all her puree food. Just pick up some snacks she likes that you can carry around with you and try to feed her table food.

By 11 months they were no longer on purées. But if you’re concerned, this is a great little tool and you can wash it out in the sinks to mash up foods easily at the table

It’s a month away? I’d get baby used to some store brand varieties and then add table food as needed. I thought the store made jars were great (and consistent).
My kids were on mostly puréed til 13 mo when they refused all puréed and went to table food only.

My dd didn’t have teeth at 12mos exactly. I would have prob brought some frozen baby food in a cooler bag with ice packs. At 17mos we went to Orlando and I only packed snacks, because she totally ate table food by then.

Re: ? for those who made their own baby food
If you really need baby food, if you look at the label on the store bought, it's the exact same thing as you make at home. Carrots and water Apples and water
There really isn't any junk in store bought baby food to be honest.
If that is the case I'd just shop down in Orlando for it

You don't need teeth to eat table food. At that age both of my children were eating whatever we ate.

Agree. DD had not ONE tooth until about 13 months and she ate everything (well not steak, but I don't even eat steak!)
I just stuck to soft things, and cut them up super super tiny

Re: ? for those who made their own baby food
Also want to add that even though I made homemade baby food for dd1, I did use the foil packs of purées for on the go situations and the quality was just fine. If you are still giving dc purées at that point for whatever the reason, a week of purées from packs will be fine!

Good to know..so I don't really have to have my daughter try jars of pureed carrots in advance then since she likes the carrots I puree.

Thanks for all the suggestions. DD has 8 teeth already so she does eat some table foods. I will buy some purees and pouches in Orlando as well as have her eat some table food.

The only difference I can see may be the texture. You may puree it thicker or thinner than the jars.

Just feed her food at the restaurants. Maybe order some pouches to have on hand but I wouldn't be making any special food.
