How bad was the weather by you?
How bad was the storm by you?
I'm in a bit of a valley, so we didn't get a lot of wind. I could hear it whipping around. It's been raining all day, but nothing too insane.

How bad was the weather by you?
Western Nassau. Heavy rain mixed in with some snow earlier today. Now it is light rain but the winds are intense. A few downed trees in my area, limbs all over.

I'm in midtown and it's horrible. It has hailed, sleeted, rained, and snowed. My building is swaying in the wind. The Grand Central Parkway, which I usually take home, was closed going eastbound last I heard because of a tree fallen on the road.

Lights went out this morning for almost an hour and then flickered a couple of times later on.
We've had rain, icy rain, snow and seems like light rain now.

Im in northern nj. We have about 7 inches of snow. High winds. Down trees. All schools were closed up here. Thank god

It's amazing the differences in the weather in the tri state area.
I haven't seen a flake of snow where I am in suffolk and yet people have blizzards in NJ.

I work in bayside. It was nuts all day. Wind blew rains and snow sideways most of the day
The worst part was my drive home (2:30-3:00)
On the service road for a while between the enormous pot holes everywhere and the trees that were blowing all over the road it was nerve wracking

How bad was the weather by you?
South shore Suffolk and it's been steady rain all day but not heavy and the wind hasn't been very noticeable.
There has been localized flooding and it's the first time I've ever seen the town come pump water from the intersection near by (although it does flood often from the lake that's there).

How bad was the weather by you?
I'm in midtown and its crazy over here. The wind is whipping the rain against the windows. My DH just called and it took him 2 hours to get home from midtown. He said the Whitestone Expressway is a parking lot of trucks, since the Whitestone bridge has closed down to all trucks in both directions. Whitestone is a parking lot of trucks blocking traffic everywhere and making it impossible to move anywhere. I usually take the express bus home, but I think I will have to deal with the 7 train tonight.

I'm in Stony Brook. It was very windy overnight into the morning then it seemed to die down for a while, now it's kicked up a bit again. The rain was torrential overnight and all morning, this afternoon has been mostly a drizzle to light rain.

How bad was the weather by you?
Rockland County
It was really slushy and icy this morning. Along with the wind. As I was taking the kids out the door to school we got the early dismissal text (they went for 2 hours today).
By noon it was just raining and the roads were clear (other than branches and in some areas trees). I took DS for his well visit and the doctors office was empty but the roads were fine. So glad I didn't cancel.
Now it's a rain snow mix with wind.
Fingers crossed we don't lose power!

I took today off since I have some carryover PTO time. Haven't gone outside at all, but the wind is CRAZY!!! It was snowing and raining this morning, and since about 11, rain and wind. So much wind!

A utility pole is down across the tracks in Westbury. So his train is going to Babylon, back to Hicksville, then back to Huntington. To avoid Westbury.

DH was on a train they suspended service in Minelo and kicked everyone off the train. I had to go and pick him up. There were 30+ minute waits for taxis and Uber’s and Uber’s we’re charging $90 to get to Bethpage.

How is Uber able to do that? That is shity of them. Really shity

This happened to me a few years ago. Thankfully my brother picked me up. I was in the Babylon area. We ended up taking 2 other people with us that were going to Ronkonkma. UBER was charging an outrageous amount. Crooks.

This is my commute as well.
My first train was more or less normal until it stopped outside of Queens Village for about 20 minutes, then went a little bit ahead to Bellerose and let people off, then went back to Jamaica then I was able to catch this train to Babylon which is then turning around to go to Hicksville.

DH''s friend who lives around the corner, moved his truck to a "safer" spot, only to have a huge tree fall right on it.
