i can see... kind of
surgery was yesterday. things are still a bit hazy, but wow. i feel like my life is suddenly a tim burton movie... THE COLORS!
i was a little scared, but mostly squeamish because they were going to be working on my eyeball while i was awake. they put so many eye drops in and the lights are so bright, that you don't see anything.
the worst part of the process is the waiting.
i had a low grade headache all day, yesterday, and i napped a lot. the headache is better, but still there. my eye area is still tender and i have a little medical tape residue on my face... i don't want to rub too hard to remove it, so i'll be patient.
i can't wait to get the other eye done and throw away my glasses!

Yay! Glad it went well and you are seeing better already. I think you are going to be amazed how great your vision is when it's all said and done.
Good luck with your recovery and take it easy.

Re: i can see... kind of
thanks.
holy cow! like i can see (literally) the improvements as the day is going by. this morning, almost everything white or lights had a haze around them. that's already gone.
had my post-op appt this morning... i can see 20/20 out of the operated eye.
my "good eye" is now my "bad eye" lol i still can't read close up without my readers, but who cares!! i can wait for that to come together. the extra $2500 (per eye) for the multi-focus lens is already proving to be worth the money.
and to make things a little funny... my dad called to see how i was doing. during the call, he informed me that he went to the dr this morning and was informed that he has a cataract in his left eye and will need surgery within about a year. i laughed and told him that i beat him to it.

I'm so glad you went ahead and did it. I told you how my mom couldn't believe she had gone so long not knowing what color really was. She walked into my sisters house (Who has a white kitchen) and was like - wait - your cabinets are WHITE? hahahaha. She thought they were a beige-cream color.
Can't wait to hear about the other eye! :)
