Anyone in medical billing? Question
Just had question for anyone in medical billing. About a month ago I had MRI's done due to headaches, I got pre-authorization for all three tests that were done.
I got something from my insurance company recently saying they denied one of the claims because this procedure is rolled up into another procedure/claim that was processed.
Does this mean it is the radiology's place's problem, or will I be responsible for this?

Re: Anyone in medical billing? Question
It means that they already paid it through another claim. You should only have 1 bill.

Anyone in medical billing? Question
I had this recently with my daughter. They billed something during her monthly appointment and insurance allowed 0 as per the contract. They then billed me and after a lot of back and forth I called my insurance company. They said to have the doctors office call as they couldn’t bill me. This just happened but I will follow up on her next appointment.

Re: Anyone in medical billing? Question
Ok thanks. I did get a bill for my co-pay but I wasn't sure if they were going to pass on the cost of that test onto me (it was like, 1,200 so I hope not!)
