sure.
in my current position, i don't deal with the public at all.
since there is a very strong culture of hiring from within and many people get their start as package handlers, there's an open-mindedness about body modification. they're much more concerned with your attire fitting the situation... working on the dock: jeans and sneakers (even if you're the boss); meeting with customers: business attire (even if you're a package handler).

i work in nursing homes. i've seen staff wearing them. don't think its been an issue.
