RJD CONSTRUCTION IS HORRIBLE!!
AVOID! He is a fraud and steals money and does subpar work. He is based in Smithtown. The owner, Richard Dailey is a complete hothead. We hired him for a bathroom redo. The tile work is cracked after two months and he REFUSES to fix it and says it is our fault for being too rough with it?!? Spend almost $25K on the renovation. Terrible!!

how could you be too rough with tiles?? im sorry! my brother is in the process of having his house raised in massapequa and his contractor is about to declare bankruptcy. Its hard to find someone reputable!

Ughhhhh. This is why I dread ever having to have any work done in our house. Just getting these people to call you back is a nightmare. It's really disturbing.
Thankfully DH does all our rennos himself but we used to talk about putting a second floor on but no way could I handle even the thought of dealing with contractors for something as massive as that!!

We had a horrendous experience with a different company but I feel your pain

omg that's horrible. You should take him to court, small claims Xs 2. meaning you make two $5K claims = $10K but it is in one sitting. Bring all your pics, receipts, etc. . yes its time consuming but don't let him get away with that.
I would also yelp, bbb and the suffolk county consumer affairs him.
