I'm assuming it's those places where you go and listen to music from headphones. I think the person can play different music that the DJ is playing or from a playlist.
I seen it on IG from a few of my friends.

Yup, that's what it is. I went to a place that had this once. I didn't like it at all. To me, it felt isolating - like you have no idea what the person next to you is experiencing and you can't "share" , like oh, I love this song or anything I that - or just have any conversation without removing the headphones. A lot of people I spoke to about it really liked it though

It's actually pretty fun. I've seen it done at a bunch of places with the noise violation issues - they eliminate that by giving everyone headphones. And as for the issue with changing the music, it's supposed to be interactive. If you don't like with the the DJ is playing, you and your friends can all change it to channel 2 or whatever and dance together to different music.

I mean I guess techically it could be both, depending on if you like to dance or just stay at the bar and drink LOL. It's basically a club party but everyone has headphones on.

I went to one during a Royal Caribbean cruise...it was hilarious. When you first walk in you just see a bunch of people dancing & singing & talking loudly...but there's no other noise in the room lol. Then you get a headset & bam! You're dancing like an idiot & singing along. I loved seeing people's reactions when they first walk in!

Yes!! I was listening to like a pop music mix...and there was an 80s channel. I took my headset off & I hear this group of people singing along to Footloose LOL
