How accurate are the tax refund estimators calculators?
I was just wondering how close they really are.
I have an accountant who I have been using for years and have no problem with.
I was playing around with one of those tax estimators because I wanted to see somethings with different income put in however I decided to use my information and I answered the questions as best as I could following the tax returns my accountant did. And the estimator is showing that I would get back about $800 more than what my accountant has me getting back.
I am not going to question my accountant  just wondering how close the estimator is compared to what is actually filed.

How accurate are the tax refund estimators calculators?
They are pretty accurate, I do my sister's taxes and it was spot on for her.

Yup me too. We have a fairly complex tax situation, though. If yours is more straightforward then it might be more accurate.
