Anyone live in North Merrick?
Don't know anything about the area, but my friend & her DH are buying a house in North Merrick. I figured you guys would be a good resource! She & her DH are expecting their first child in July. The house is zoned for Camp Ave/Merrick Ave/Calhoun. Does anyone have any recommendations for her? She is specifically looking for pediatricians and day cares. TIA!

I live in N. Bellmore and my real estate office is in Merrick.
Many of my real estate clients and personal friends have used the Children's Nest daycare on Merrick Ave between Sunrise Highway and Merrick Rd. I've heard nothing but good things.
There are many pediatricians in the area, but I feel like many get mixed reviews. I don't love mine. The Merrick Moms Facebook group would be a good resource for these questions, if she's not already on it.
The Little Gym in the Merrick Mall (between Hewlitt and Merrick Ave) just north of Sunrise, is a popular spot for local moms to take babies and toddlers for classes, so that might be a good way to meet some people in the area once the baby is born. There are lots of good local restaurants, too!

That’s where I grew up. Went to all three of those schools and they are excellent. My cousin uses Dr Pamela Banks and is happy with her. Not sure about day care since I didn’t need it, but for Nursery/Preschool, we use Merrick Woods and love it.

Anyone live in North Merrick?
Children's Nest Merrick is fantastic. Also, Wantagh Pediatrics is a fantastic pediatrician. Nothing but great things to say about both places.

Both of my children are at Children's Nest in Merrick and we love it there.
