Furniture help
DH and I recently moved. Our bedroom is much bigger and DH needs a dresser to put his stuff in (I took over our one that we have). Problem is the bedroom set we bought years ago is no longer available. How can we add a dresser that's not the same as the set we have now without it looking like a total hodge podge. I feel like anything else wont be a good match. Ugh. Ideas? Thanks!

Stuff like this drives me nuts, too. What color is your bedroom set?

Re: Furniture help
Right?!That’s the problem. I can’t just say it’s oak or pine etc. It’s a natural color but that’s all I know lol. I even called the place we ordered it from but they weren’t helpful.

i wouldn't try to match it if it were me. I would probably try to find something to accent it instead. What other colors do you have in the bedroom? like what color is the bedding and stuff like that?
My friends have all white furniture and added a teal armoire. Their bedroom was a beachy theme. Maybe you can do something like that, and get like a cool bold color

I'd try to match to your decor maybe but thats a PITA because what happens when you what to change it up? I'd probably just do something fun that compliments your decor.
I'm honestly no help, I've been looking for a china cabinet for 3 years but I definitely feel your pain!

Maybe try gothic cabinet craft? They have lots of types of wood and will stain items in the color you choose.

Is it possible to find a match for the wood color, and then replace the drawer handles on both dressers so they are all the same? I've seen plenty of different kinds of drawer handles/knobs at lowes/home depot.

Re: Furniture help
I would not match it but go for a contrasting item that looks good with your set. Can you post a photo of your current set?

What color are the knobs? Maybe switch them out for black and get a black dresser.

Thanks for the ideas everyone! I'm on a hunt! I'll try to post pics later of the set we have.
