Please don't move to the travel board! this gets more traffic :)

I get discounts through hilton as a family member, and DH and i were thinking of spending the night in the city and letting DD sleepover my parent's house. For the night we were thinking, the following hotels are discounted:

1. Hilton New York Grand Central- $84/night

2. Hilton New York Fashion District- $74/night

3. The London NYC- $149/night

4. Millennium Hilton New York One UN Plaza- $99/night

The London is definitely the nicest, but is it worth it? We have absolutely no plans whatsoever for when we go, so if you go to the city often and can recommend which hotel to go with, and any restaurants/things to do that are close by that would be greatly appreciated!

update- I booked the Milennium Hilton. It's by grand central and not far from bryant park. What should we do while we're there? We will be there on saturday 2/24. Going in the afternoon and coming home sunday mid-morning

I agree with a Broadway show (or an off Broadway show like Stomp or many others), that would be great. You could also go to the rotating bar/restaurant on top of the Marriot Marquis in Times Sq. There are so many things to do, that depends on what you like to do. Top of the Rock is awesome, too.

Depends what you enjoy.
Live music like a jazz or Blues club, a Broadway show, cool bar or lounge, nice dinner?
I would also go somewhere other than the typical "tourist" areas. Like go downtown to Tribecca or Soho. Look for cool places around there.
I would avoid Times Square etc.... unless you want to see a Broadway show
