Jake's in East Meadow? It's really good. I've never been to Waterzooi or Spuntino, maybe we will check them out.
I'm the only one who thinks the Bayou is just ok, so maybe I should give it another shot.

I'm the only one who thinks the Bayou is just ok, so maybe I should give it another shot.
I really enjoyed the main entree and the fried pickles someone else at the table got.
It was my first time.

Not a huge fan of the Bayou and not sure if it’s worthwhile to try during restaurant week. I suggest you get a Groupon and try it that way (always an extra discount code plus Ebates).

I feel like The Bayou has a taste-specific menu, as it's a narrow category of food (Cajun).
I personally think it's more about the atmosphere (theme, decor, big colored drinks) than the food.
i wouldn't go there during restaurant week.
Taste in Massapequa Park might be a good choice, too. I really like their menu, food, and atmosphere (plus great bar area for drinks).

I went to La Pecora Bianca in NYC.
For those in NJ there is restaurant week for Hudson County and also one in Rahway!

We went to Waterzooi last time and it was great..
Monday night DH and I went to Del Frisco's Grill in Huntington and the meal was Fabulous!
Last night - my coworkers went to Vittorios in amityville - yum!
