Does Anyone Use Farmingdale Train Station?
If so, is it true it was renovated and if so are they done? If my husband needs to take a 10:30(ish) train in, will he find parking?
Thanks for any and all info

To park at the Farmingdale LIRR station, you need a permit or be lucky enough to snag one of the metered spots. Since the train station is located in the village of Farmingdale, village residents get priority when it comes to applying and receiving permits. There is a loooooong waiting list for non-village residents and the price of the annual pass is crazy! To answer your question, no, he will not get a spot at 10:30 Monday thru Friday. The lot is filled and metered spots taken by 6:45-7:30AM. He can get a daily parking pass at Town Hall or park in the Massapequa or Bethpage LIRR lot with a Town of Oyster Bay permit. They are much more reasonably priced and last 2 years. DH prefers Massapequa because its on the Babylon line which typically has more trains that run more frequently than those on the Ronkonkoma line. If he is just going in to do something (aka not a daily commute), I might just take a taxi or Uber to the station. He also won't be able to park on side streets around the station -- all no parking signs in the residential area.

Thank you so much for this! He works in Melville and is just going in for the day for an interview. Maybe he's better driving back east to Ronk station since we live in Medford and he will be going home once it's over. Ronk has places to park, yes? Any other train stations that parking would be easier and local to Melville? Maybe Hicksville?

Ronk has a ton of free spots but after 7 am it gets pretty packed. He will find a spot but may have to walk very far. Can you or someone else drop him off? Or maybe a cab or Uber? Might be easier and less stressful

We live in farmingdale but DH takes the train out of Bethpage. He had a town of oyster bay parking pass but they also have a few free parking lots. I believe one is down by the library.
