At all all inclusive do the staff prefer tips in dollars or pesos?

Dollars are fine for tipping Mexico. We always take a few hundred dollars in $1 $5 and $10 for tipping at all inclusive resorts.

Im talking about the poolside drinks type of tipping so that the waiters are covered and you get attention

I just did a quick search on TripAdvisor and it seems it's accepted there. Seems a lot of people tip. Completely up to you.
I don't think I tipped when I went to an AI in MX. Pretty sure I didn't.

We always gave a tip for drinks and meals when we went to all-inclusives in Mexico. I don't remember what we used, but I'm pretty sure it was dollars.

I remember at Sandals they were not allowed to accept tips. They even wore buttons saying something to that effect.

There's no pressure to tip/or not allowed, but I still tip if I had dollars on me. Also if we had a nanny/butler and def for housekeeping and drinks on the beach. They make so little.

This exactly.
We were just in Mexico last month and brought dollars. The dollar is worth more there anyway. We never exchanged our money.
The cab and resort was all included. We just tipped the driver and servers (when we had money). Not always in the pool for obvious reasons. LOL

Dollars are good. Yes, some AI don't allow staff to get tips (like Beaches), but others do. For New Years we went too Cancun and the tips were in dollars.

Regardless of AI or not; we always left tip for the staff that cleaned our room.
Sometimes we would leave per night; or at the end of our stay; we would leave whatever.
We Always tipped bartenders and pool guys, etc.
How much of an AI plan; do these workers really get? Any tips are so appreciated. Plus they deserve it.

I always go to the bank and take out like 200 dollars in singles before a trip. That way I can tip freely all week long. Whether it is all inclusive or not service is service and I believe in tipping.
