Do kids call to thank you for a birthday card with money?
I'm starting to wonder if I should stop sending if I can't even get a thank you from the kids who are not small. I get a thank you text from the mother.

I think they should call - but I' do settle for a text.
All of my nieces and nephews (13 and older) know that the minute I stop getting a thank you - they stop getting a gift.

same here. if you're too good to thank me for thinking of you, then maybe i should spend my time, energy, and money elsewhere.

I feel the same way. Send a card to my niece with a check. No thank you and then her father seemed annoyed when we asked if it was received. Took forever for them to cash the check and we didn’t receive a thank you.

This happened to me. My sister in law texted me from my nieces phone thanking me for the gift card. I was ticked too. Niece is 13.

if brought up properly IMO yes, you should get a call or card if they kids are old enough. NOT from mom or dad only. Even if they can't write due to age they can draw on a card and that be sent.
I dont agree with FB messages. I think if someone take the time to buy or send something or hand it to the person, they deserve a thank you card

School parties from the class or family? I usually get written tank you's from the parent except for one time.
Also, how about adults these days? Went to a wedding and a shower (same couple) TWO years & no thank you for either!!!!

If I'm mailing presents to someone, it's someone I'd also call to wish a Happy Birthday. So, I'm usually thanked on the phone if I sent the gift on time. I'm sure there are times I just get a text from their mom or they forget to say thanks. I don't really think about it. I'm sure they appreciate it.
