Download from Amazon Prime?
Is is possible to download movies and/or TV shows from Amazon Prime so that they can be watched with no wi-fi available? If I have purchased movies, will they be available to watch without wi-fi?I am so technologically inept and have no clue how this stuff works

Yes! We do it all the time when we travel so my DS can use the iPad.

Is there a way to find the ones that can be downloaded, or is it just hit and miss?

I don't think ALL are available for download. I tried to download something last Summer for backyard movie night we were having, so I wouldn't have to stream, and there was no way to do it. Maybe it was the title I selected, I don't know.

How do you do it?
If you have the Amazon Prime Video app downloaded, click on a show like Marvelous Mrs. Maisel (SOO GOOD), and then you see options to either play or download. The downloads stay unwatched for a few weeks I think, then expire (easy to download again), and then once you watch it you need to physically delete it from the library. There is a limit to how much you can download. I think it's like 8 or so hours of content but could depend on which things. We've tried downloading a ton of kids shows for trips and hit the limit before.
You can also have the app set up to steam on cellular service if you want to watch something that's not downloaded and don't have wifi, but that uses up your data.

OH, maybe because we weren't watching movies on the app, we were trying to do it on the laptop to hook it to the projector. I don't think you can download to a laptop.
